This had never crossed our mind at all ever since we learnt how to use a computer... it's just a hassle to write, publish, upload, comments, reply, etc. BUT we are now writing our first entry here (yeah it's no big deal since now that even an 8-year-old and even 80 human being got more than one blog!).
This blog came about when we thought of sharing many stuff with our friends and love ones. There's so much thoughts on our mind and this is gonna be the portal of sharing...
In less than a year or so... we will be getting our first flat in Punggol. YES... it's every young Singaporean's dream to own this EXPENSIVE asset - A Home we call our own.
We started applying for our new flat back in year 2007, all sort of nonsense from balloting exercises, half-yearly launches to BTOs. We tried everything just to get a roof over our head but was "unlucky"!
13 Nov 2008, HDB launched BTO project for Punggol Arcadia, we recced the site and did some studies again... 2 days later we applied online hoping for yet another chance to get a flat!
On 21 Jan 2009, it tooked the Authority bloody 2 months to gave us respond that we got a chance to select for the new flat! Good + bad news, there's only a total numbers of 465 4-Room flats available for this launch and our queue number is 473... just a little exceeding the supply.
1 Mar 2009, we woke up as early as 6am in the morning, grab breakfast and rush to HDB for the selection of our life-time! Our queue number flashing on the display, we are like "Yes... it's our turn, it's our turn!!!"
Looking at the display panel, watching the units being selected by those queuing ahead of us... our heart is beating fast. Just like monitoring the stocks! Ha!
Good thing that the entire process took about 15 minutes... and YES! We got our first choice of the available units!!! We will be staying at 14th floor @ a high price of 312K! Congrats us, huh? Well done Mr Mah for giving us this high price tag!
